Reale Accademia Di Musica - Angeli Mutanti (2018)

The sixth album from this Italian band.

Reale Accademia Di Musica was a quintet on this album with a lineup of keyboards, bass, drums, guitars, piano and Italian vocals. Both male and female vocals.
The band had help from three additional guitarists.

I got their first two albums and you can find my reviews of them here and here.
From what I gather, their third and fourth album was released as a band called R.A.M and their fifth album was an album recorded in 1974, but not released before 2012.

I am not sure if Angeli Mutanti is a brand new studio recording either. But who cares ? The most important thing is the music and what really connects with the listener.

And if you are an Rock Progressive Italiano, RPI fan, there is a lot to connect with you here.

The band plays melodic RPI based on two vocals and a big fat electric organ with support from acoustic and electric guitars.

The music is not heavy or overly technical although there is a lot of interesting details here. The music is based on the art of good song writing and the art of delivering the songs with some great vocals.

And it has to be said that the band has delivered the goods here. The songs on this fifty minutes long album is mostly very good indeed with a couple of great tracks too. The five minutes long Alba is one of them. The album and the music is charming like Italy can only be and I am won over by the charm and the quality of the songs.

This is a very good album and one to check out.
