Electric Orange - EOXXV (2017)

The 15th album from this German band.

Electric Orange is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, clavinet, hammond organ, synths, mellotron, cajon, stroh violin, cowbells and percussion.

I have had the joy of reviewing a lot of their albums in both this blog and in # 1 of this blog. That has been a good journey.

Electric Orange plays spaced out krautrock with a lot of post rock influences and some 1970s electronica influences. The band paints ambient soundscapes. There is still a lot of dynamics in their music to make it interesting.

This album is a 2CD album. It last for two hours and fifteen minutes. Which is a bit of trial for the listener.

The first part is very good with a lot of dynamics and nice soundscapes. The middle part is pretty dead and there is no movement in the music. The final forty-five minutes is a lot better with a lot of dynamics and good soundscapes.

This is by no means my favourite Electric Orange album. It is too long and the middle part is like watching paint dry. Nevertheless, this is a good album. Check it out.
